The AWD LOCK indicator illuminates when the AWD LOCK button is pressed. The purpose of the AWD LOCK mode is to increase drive power when driving on wet asphalt, snowy roads, and/or off-road. The AWD LOCK indicator turns off when the button is pressed again.

CAUTION

Do not use AWD LOCK mode on dry paved roads or highways, as this may cause noise, vibration, or damage to AWD-related components.
