The indicator comes on when the cruise control switch (SET- or RES+) is operated.

The Cruise SET indicator on the instrument cluster comes on when the cruise control switch (SET or RES+) is pressed. The Cruise SET indicator does not come on when the cruise control switch (CANCEL) is pressed or the system is turned off.
