Owner Maintenance

WARNING

Performing maintenance on your vehicle can be dangerous. If you do not have sufficient knowledge, experience, or the proper tools and equipment to do the work, we recommend that it be done by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer. Before performing maintenance:

  • Park the vehicle on a level surface. Shift the transmission to P (Park), apply the parking brake, and turn the ignition switch to the LOCK/OFF position.
  • Block the wheels (front and rear) to prevent the vehicle from moving. Remove loose clothing or jewelry that could get caught in moving parts.
  • If you must run the engine during maintenance, do so outdoors or in an area with good ventilation.
  • Keep flames, sparks, or smoking materials away from the battery and fuel-related parts.

WARNING

Do not touch metal parts (including the strut bar) while the engine is running or hot to prevent serious injury. Turn off the engine and wait until metal parts have cooled before working on the vehicle.

The following lists are vehicle inspections that should be performed by the owner or an authorized HYUNDAI dealer at the indicated intervals to help ensure the safe and reliable operation of your vehicle.

Any adverse conditions should be brought to the attention of an authorized HYUNDAI dealer as soon as possible.

These owner maintenance inspections are generally not covered by warranty, and you may be charged for labor, parts, and lubricants used.
