Bulbs
Contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer to replace most vehicle light bulbs. Replacing vehicle light bulbs is difficult because other vehicle parts must be removed before you can reach the bulb. This applies especially to removing the headlight assembly to access the bulb(s).
Removing/installing the headlamp assembly may cause damage to the vehicle.
WARNING
- Before replacing a bulb, depress the brake pedal, shift to P (Park), set the parking brake, turn the ignition switch to the LOCK/OFF position, and take the key with you when leaving the vehicle to avoid sudden vehicle movement and prevent possible electric shock.
- Be aware that bulbs may be hot and can burn your fingers.
NOTICE
Be sure to replace a burned-out bulb with one of the same power rating to prevent damage to the fuse or electrical system.
NOTICE
To avoid damage, do not clean headlight lenses with chemical solvents or strong detergents.
Information - Headlight Desiccant (if equipped)
This vehicle is equipped with a desiccant to reduce fogging inside the headlight caused by moisture. The desiccant is a consumable and its performance may change depending on the period of use or environment. If fogging inside the headlight due to moisture persists for a long time, contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
Information
Headlight and taillight lenses may have condensation inside if the vehicle is washed after driving or if the vehicle is operated in wet weather. This condition is caused by the higher temperature inside the lamp and the outside temperature. Moisture that condenses in the light is removed after driving with the lights on. If moisture is not removed, contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
Information
- A normally operating light may flicker briefly to stabilize the vehicle's electronic control system. If the light goes out or continues to flicker, contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
- The parking light may not turn on when the parking light switch is on, but the parking light and headlight may turn on when the headlight switch is on. This may be caused by a network failure or a malfunction of the vehicle's electronic control system. If this occurs, contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
Information
Adjust the headlight aim after an accident or after replacing a headlight.
