  • Driving on rough, dusty, muddy, unpaved, gravel, or salted roads
  • Driving in areas using salt or other corrosive materials, or in very cold weather
  • Driving in severely dusty conditions
  • Driving in heavy traffic
  • Driving on hills, downgrades, or mountain roads

Information

After more than 10 years or 100,000 miles, follow the severe conditions maintenance schedule.

Information

  • Engine oil consumption while driving and the engine oil level should be checked on a regular basis.
  • The engine oil change interval under normal operating conditions is based on the use of engine oil that meets the recommended specifications for your vehicle. If any other type of engine oil is used, change the engine oil according to the severe conditions maintenance schedule.
  • The vehicle may be equipped with an Oil Life System, which predicts engine oil life based on the driver's driving history and alerts the driver to replace the engine oil.
    - If engine oil deterioration increases depending on the driver's driving severity, a warning for remaining engine oil life appears on the instrument cluster before the normal engine oil change interval. Have the engine oil and filter changed by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
    - The Oil Life System operates when the recommended engine oil is used. Therefore, if the recommended engine oil is not used, change the engine oil according to the severe conditions maintenance schedule. Also check the engine oil level regularly, as this system assumes that the engine oil is normally filled.
    - Always reset the remaining engine oil life whenever the engine oil is changed. Otherwise, the remaining engine oil life indication of the Oil Life System may be inaccurate. To reset the engine oil change reminder, select "RESET" on the infotainment system screen. Then select "Yes" when the message "Has the engine oil been changed? Press [Yes] to reset the engine oil life." appears on the screen.
    - If no warning is given before the maximum maintenance interval has elapsed, have the vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
