Fuses

The vehicle's electrical system is protected from damage caused by electrical overloads by fuses.
This vehicle has 2 (or 3) fuse panels: one is located in the driver's side dash panel, and the other is in the engine compartment. If any of the lights, accessories, or controls on your vehicle do not work, check the corresponding circuit fuse. If the fuse is blown, the element inside the fuse has melted or broken.
If the fuse is blown, the element inside the fuse has melted or broken.
If the electrical system does not operate, first check the fuse panel on the driver's side. Before replacing a blown fuse, turn off the engine and all switches, then disconnect the negative battery cable. Always replace a blown fuse with one of the same rating.
If a replacement fuse blows, this indicates a problem in the electrical system. Avoid using the corresponding system and contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
WARNING
Never replace a fuse with anything other than another fuse of the same rating.
- A fuse with a higher rating may cause damage and possibly a fire.
- Do not install wire or aluminum foil in place of a normal fuse, even as a temporary repair. This may cause severe damage to the wiring and possibly fire.
NOTICE
Do not use a screwdriver or any other metal object to remove fuses, as this may cause a short circuit and damage the system.
