Smart Cruise Control Conditions Not Met

~1min read

If the Driving Assist button, +/- switch, orbutton is pressed when the Smart Cruise Control conditions are not met, the "Smart Cruise Control Conditions Not Met" message appears on the instrument cluster and a warning sound is heard.

In traffic situations

In a traffic jam, your vehicle stops if the vehicle ahead of you stops. Also, if the vehicle ahead of you starts moving, your vehicle also starts moving. In addition, after your vehicle has stopped and a certain amount of time has passed, the "Use Switch or Pedal to Accelerate" message appears on the instrument cluster. Press the accelerator pedal or press the +/- switch orbutton to start driving.

WARNING

While the message appears on the instrument cluster, if there is no vehicle ahead or the vehicle is far from you, and the +/– switch or button is pressed, Smart Cruise Control is automatically canceled and EPB is applied. If the accelerator pedal is depressed, EPB is not applied even though the function is canceled.
