This system helps protect your vehicle and valuables. The horn sounds and the hazard warning lights flash continuously if one of the following events occurs:

- A door is opened without using the remote key or smart key.
- A rear door is opened without using the remote key or smart key.
- The hood is opened.

The alarm sounds for 30 seconds, then the system resets. To turn off the alarm, unlock the doors with the remote key or smart key.

The anti-theft alarm system is automatically armed 30 seconds after the doors and tailgate are locked. To arm the system, you must lock the doors and tailgate from outside the vehicle by doing one of the following:

- Using the remote key or smart key.
- Pressing the button on the outside door handle with the smart key in your possession (with button type).
- Touching the touch sensor on the outside door handle with the smart key in your possession (with touch sensor type).

The hazard warning lights flash and the horn sounds once to indicate the system is armed.

Once the security system is armed, opening any door, the tailgate, or the hood without using the remote key or smart key will trigger the alarm.

The anti-theft alarm system will not arm if the hood, tailgate, or any door is not fully closed. If the system does not arm, check that the hood, tailgate, and doors are fully closed.

Do not attempt to modify this system or add other devices to it.

Information

  • Do not lock the doors until all passengers have left the vehicle. If a door is opened after the system is armed, the alarm will be triggered.
  • If the vehicle is not disarmed, open the doors with the mechanical key and turn the ignition switch to the ON position (for remote key), or start the engine by pressing the Start button with the smart key.
  • If the system is disarmed by unlocking the vehicle, and the driver's door or the tailgate is not opened within 30 seconds, the doors will be locked again and the system will automatically reset.
