WARNING

Do not use the defrost level. Operation in extremely humid weather may cause the outside surface of the windshield to fog up and reduce visibility, which may lead to a collision resulting in serious injury or death.

Set the mode selector to the face position.position and lower the fan speed.

  • For maximum defrosting performance, set the temperature control to the maximum temperature setting and the fan speed control to the maximum setting.
  • If warm air to the floor is required while defrosting or defogging, select the floor defrost position.
  • Before driving, remove all snow and ice from the windshield, rear window, outside mirrors, and all side windows.
  • Clear snow and ice from the hood and the air intake to improve heater and defroster efficiency and reduce the possibility of fogging on the inside of the windshield.
