STARTING AND OPERATING
MANUAL TRANSMISSION — IF EQUIPPED
In this manual: STARTING AND OPERATING
~1min read
- Never drive with your foot resting on the clutch pedal, or attempt to hold the vehicle on a hill with the clutch pedal partially depressed, as this will cause abnormal clutch wear.
- Do not drive with your hand resting on the shift lever. Even slight force applied over time may cause premature wear of internal transmission components.
NOTE:
In cold weather, you may experience increased shift effort until the transmission fluid warms up. This is normal.

Transmission Shift Lever
To shift gears, fully depress the clutch pedal and move the shift lever to the desired gear position (the gear shift pattern is shown on the shift lever knob).
To engage REVERSE from NEUTRAL, lift the REVERSE ring located below the knob and move the shift lever fully to the left, then forward.
