NORMAL OPERATION — DIESEL ENGINE
In this manual: STARTING AND OPERATING
~1min read
Note the following when the diesel engine is operating:
- All message center indicators are off.
- The Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) is not illuminated.
- The engine oil pressure warning light is not illuminated.
- Voltmeter operation.
The voltmeter may show fluctuation at various engine temperatures. This is caused by the glow plug heating system. The number of cycles and the duration of the cyclic operation are controlled by the Powertrain Control Module. The glow plug heater indicator may remain illuminated for several minutes. After the heater operation is complete, the voltmeter needle will stabilize.
