The front passenger front airbag off indicator illuminates for approximately 4 seconds after the ignition switch is turned to the ON position.

The front passenger front airbag off indicator also illuminates when the front passenger front airbag ON/OFF switch is set to the OFF position, and turns off when the front passenger front airbag ON/OFF switch is set to the ON position.

CAUTION

If the front passenger front airbag ON/OFF switch is malfunctioning, the front passenger front airbag off indicator does not illuminate (front passenger front airbag is enabled). The front passenger front airbag on indicator illuminates and turns off after approximately 60 seconds, and the front passenger front airbag will deploy in a frontal collision even if the front passenger front airbag ON/OFF switch is set to the OFF position.

In this case, we recommend that the front passenger front airbag and the SRS airbag system be inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.
