BCW (Blind-Spot Collision Warning) / LCA (Lane Change Assist)
Operating Conditions

The indicator on the switch illuminates when the BCW (Blind-Spot Collision Warning) system switch is pressed with the ignition ON. If the vehicle speed exceeds 30 km/h, the system is activated.
If you press the switch again, the switch indicator and system will turn off.
If the ignition switch is turned OFF and back ON, the system returns to its previous state.
When the system is not in use, turn the system off by pressing the switch.
When the system is on, the warning light will illuminate for 3 seconds on the outside rearview mirror.
Warning Type
The system is activated when:
1. The system is turned on.
2. Vehicle speed is above 30 km/h (20 mph).
3. Other vehicles are detected in the blind spot.
WARNING
- Always check road conditions while driving for unexpected situations, even though the Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) system is operating.
- Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) is a supplemental system to help you. Do not rely solely on the system. For your safety, always pay attention while driving.
- The Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) system is not a substitute for proper and safe driving. Always drive safely and use caution when changing lanes or backing up the vehicle. The Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) system may not detect every object around the vehicle.

Stage 1
If a vehicle is detected within the detection zone, the amber warning light on the outside rearview mirror will illuminate.
Once the detected vehicle is no longer in the blind spot, the warning will turn off depending on the driving conditions of the vehicle.
Second-Stage Warning

Stage 2
The warning chime to alert the driver sounds when:
1. A vehicle has been detected in the blind spot by the radar sensor (the warning light on the outside rearview mirror illuminates, i.e. the Stage 1 warning).
AND
2. The turn signal is turned on (on the same side where the vehicle was detected).
When this warning is activated, the warning light on the outside rearview mirror will also flash.
If you turn off the turn signal, the Stage 2 warning (warning chime and flashing warning light on the outside rearview mirror) will be deactivated.
- The Stage 2 warning can be activated and deactivated.
- To activate the warning: Go to User Settings Mode → Driver Assistance and select "Blind-Spot Collision Warning" on the LCD display.
- To deactivate the warning: Go to User Settings Mode → Driver Assistance and deselect "Blind-Spot Collision Warning" on the LCD display.
CAUTION
The warning function helps alert the driver. Deactivate this function only when necessary, and refer to the "User Settings Mode" section in Chapter 4.
Detection Sensor

The sensors are located inside the rear bumper.
Always keep the rear bumper clean so that the system operates correctly.
