Description and Operation

Description

Emergency Brake Signal System (ESS)

When the driver brakes suddenly, the brake lights or turn signals flash to warn vehicles approaching from behind.

  1. Main Function (Brake Lamp / Hazard Lamp Flashing)

    • Operating conditions: During sudden braking or ABS operation above a specified speed.

    • Release conditions: When the vehicle stops from sudden braking or ABS operation ends.

  2. Additional Function (Turn Signal Flashing)

    • Operating conditions: During sudden braking at low speed.

    • Release conditions: Released when the vehicle starts moving.
