Maintenance

Standard Maintenance Schedule. Severe-Duty Maintenance Schedule (for severe operating conditions)

~2min read

The maintenance schedule for the Kia Opirus is divided into two categories: standard conditions and severe operating conditions. Depending on use, such as city traffic, towing or dusty roads, maintenance intervals must be adjusted accordingly. This chapter provides detailed tables with inspection and replacement intervals for engine oil, air filter, spark plugs and other components. The clear marking of “I” for inspection and “R” for replacement makes the schedule particularly user-friendly.

Standard Maintenance Schedule

Standard-Wartungsplan

I : inspect and, if necessary, adjust, correct, clean or replace

R : replace or change

*1 : Tension the drive belt for the alternator, air conditioning and power steering

*2 : Check for excessive valve noise and/or engine vibration and correct if necessary. This work must be carried out by an authorized KIA dealer.

*3 : When topping up coolant, use only coolant suitable for your vehicle, and never mix tap water with the factory-filled coolant. Improper coolant mixtures can cause malfunctions and engine damage.
