Kia Sorento: Rear Parking Assist System (if equipped)

The rear parking assist system assists the driver when reversing. The system alerts the driver with an audible warning if an object is detected within 47 inches (120 cm) behind the vehicle.

This system is a supplementary system and does not replace the need for extreme caution and driver attention. The detection range and objects detectable by the rear sensors are limited. When reversing, pay as much attention to what is behind you as you would in a vehicle without a rear parking assist system.

WARNING

The Rear Parking Assist System is only a supplementary function. Operation of the rear parking assist system may be affected by several factors (including environmental conditions). The driver is always responsible for checking the area behind the vehicle before and while reversing.
