Seat Belt Buckle Switch (BS) Description

The SRSCM must monitor the status of the driver and front passenger seat belt buckles. The SRSCM provides one input contact for the driver and one for the front passenger seat belt buckle status. The seat belt buckle circuit is powered by an internal boosted voltage supplied by the SRSCM and uses chassis ground as the signal return. The buckle status changes the SRSCM deployment logic. If the buckle status is unbuckled, the corresponding pretensioner will be deactivated.
