Side Impact Sensor (SIS) Installation

Front Side Impact Sensor

1. 1
   Install a new front side impact sensor with the bolt, then connect the SRS wiring harness connector to the front side impact sensor.

   Tightening torque: 5 ~ 7 N·m

   Install the front door trim panel. (Refer to Body - Front Door group)

   Connect the negative battery cable.

   After installing the front side impact sensor, check that the system operates as follows:

   A.	Turn the ignition ON; the SRS indicator should illuminate for about six seconds and then go off.

   Install a new side impact sensor with the bolt, then connect the SRS wiring harness connector to the side impact sensor.

   Tightening torque: 6.8 ~ 9.2 N·m

   Install the luggage side trim. (Refer to Body - Interior Trim group)

   Install the rear seat. (Refer to Body - Seat group)

   Connect the negative battery cable.

   After installing the side impact sensor, check that the system operates correctly:

   A.	Turn the ignition ON; the SRS indicator should illuminate for about six seconds and then go off.
