Headlamp Aiming Instructions
Aim the headlamps with the correct beam setting equipment, and follow the equipment manufacturer's instructions.
If there are any regulations regarding headlamp beam aiming in the area where the vehicle will be used, adjust the headlamps to meet those requirements. Alternately turn the adjusting mechanism to adjust the headlamp aim. If beam aiming equipment is not available, perform the following steps:
Inflate the tires to the specified pressure and remove all loads from the vehicle except the driver, spare tire, and tools.
The vehicle must be on a level surface.
Draw vertical lines (vertical lines passing through the centers of the respective headlamps) on the screen.
With the headlamp and battery in normal condition, aim the headlamps so that the brightest part is on the vertical lines. A: Vertical low/high beam
Headlamp (Low Beam)
Turn on the low beam without the driver.
The light-dark boundary line must project onto the light-dark boundary line shown in the illustration.
Turn on the front fog lamp without the driver in the vehicle. The light-dark boundary should project within the permissible range (shaded area).
Front Fog Lamp Aiming. The front fog lamps must be aimed in the same way as the headlamps. With the front fog lamps and battery under normal conditions, aim the front fog lamps by turning the adjusting screw hole (A) with a screwdriver. Headlamp and Fog Lamp Aiming Point General/Europe
