Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW)

The Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) system uses radar sensors in the rear bumper to monitor and warn the driver of approaching vehicles in the driver's blind spot zone.
The system monitors the area behind the vehicle and alerts the driver with an audible signal and indicators on the outside rearview mirrors.
(1) Blind spot
The BCW detection range depends on vehicle speed. Note that if your vehicle is traveling much faster than the vehicles around you, the warning will not be displayed.
(2) High-speed closing
The BCW-Closing at High Speed function will warn you when it detects a vehicle approaching from the adjacent lane at high speed. If the driver activates the turn signal when the system detects an approaching vehicle, the system will sound an audible alert.
(3) RCCW (Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning)
The RCCW function monitors for approaching traffic from the left and right sides of your vehicle when your vehicle is moving in reverse. The function operates when the vehicle is reversing at a speed below 10 km/h. If approaching traffic is detected, a warning chime will sound.
WARNING - BCW Limitations
- The Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) system is a supplemental system. Do not rely solely on the system and always pay attention to safe driving.
- The Blind-Spot Collision Warning system may not detect every object near the vehicle and does not replace proper and safe lane change procedures. Always drive safely and exercise caution when changing lanes.
