Limited-Slip Differential (LSD)

~1min read

The Limited-Slip Differential (LSD) is a system equipped with a mechanism that controls the differential function of the wheels on the rear differential. This improves handling during cornering.

Never run the wheels if one of them is raised with a jack. This is very dangerous for a vehicle with a limited-slip differential.

Be sure to use only the specified LSD oil when replacing the rear differential oil (for LSD oil).

✽ NOTICE

Slight noises may come from the friction plates inside the LSD when the vehicle with LSD turns. This is normal LSD operation and does not indicate a vehicle malfunction.

Oil replacement is strongly recommended if the noise becomes louder.
