Repair Procedures

Inspection

1. 1

   Turn the ignition on.

2. 2

   Manually operate the control switch and measure the blower motor voltage.

3. 3

   Using the control switch, increase the voltage to high speed.

   6	10.1 V	9.6 - 10.7 V
   7	11.3 V	10.7 V - 12.5 V
   8	BATTERY (B+)

   If the measured voltage does not meet the specification, replace with a known good FET and check its operation.

5. 5

   Replace the FET if it is determined that there is a problem with it.

Replacement

1. 1

   Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

2. 2

   Remove the protector panel under the [RH] cover (A).

   

3. 3

   Disconnect the connector (A) and remove the FET (B) after loosening the mounting screws.

   

4. 4

   Install in the reverse order of removal.
