Repair Procedures

Removal

  1. Drain the engine coolant.

    (Refer to Cooling System - "Engine Coolant")

  2. Remove the oil filter.

    (See Lubrication System - Engine Oil)

  3. Disconnect the engine oil cooler coolant hoses (A).

  4. Loosen the mounting bolt (B) and remove the oil cooler assembly (C).

Installation

  1. Apply a thin coat of engine oil to the oil cooler sealing surface, then install the oil cooler (B) with the mounting bolt (A).

    Tightening torque: 44.1–54 N·m

  2. Connect the oil cooler coolant hoses (A).

  3. Install the oil filter.

  4. Fill the radiator with coolant and check for leaks.
