WARNING
- Make sure the exhaust system is leak-free. Whenever the vehicle is lifted for an oil change or other service, the exhaust system should be inspected. If the exhaust sounds different or if you drive over something that strikes the underside of the vehicle, have the system inspected by a qualified service technician. Kia recommends visiting a Kia dealer/service partner.
- Do not let the engine run in enclosed spaces. Even with the garage door open, it is dangerous to leave the engine idling in a garage. Always run the engine in partially or fully enclosed spaces only for the time necessary to drive the vehicle in or out.
- Avoid running the engine at idle for extended periods when there are occupants in the vehicle. If it is necessary to idle the engine for a long time while occupants are in the vehicle, do so only outdoors, turn on fresh air mode, and set a higher blower speed with the blower control so that fresh air is drawn into the vehicle. If loaded items require you to drive with the luggage compartment/tailgate open:
1. Close all windows.
2. Open the side ventilation vents.
3. Turn on fresh air mode, set the airflow control switch to "Foot" or "Head", and select one of the higher blower speeds.
