Description
The steering wheel angle sensor (SAS) is installed in the MDPS (Motor Driven Power Steering) and sends messages to the HECU via the CAN communication line. The SAS is used to detect the steering direction and speed of the steering wheel. The HECU uses the signals from the SAS when performing ESC-related calculations. Components (steering wheel angle sensor, torque sensor, emergency relay, etc.) of the EPS system are located inside the steering column and EPS assembly. The EPS unit cannot be disassembled for inspection. They must be replaced. (Refer to "ST (Steering System) Group")Test yourself
