Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) Level Inspection
Remove the air cleaner assembly.
G 2.0 MPI (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air Cleaner")
G 2.5 GDI (Refer to Engine Mechanical System — "Air Cleaner")
Fill 0.7 L ATF SP-IV through the ATF filler opening after removing the eye bolt (A).
[G 2.0 MPI - A6MF1-2]

[G 2.5 GDI-A8MF1]

Remove the park/neutral position switch. [G 2.0 MPI — A6MF1-2 only]
(Refer to "Automatic Transmission Control System - Inhibitor Switch").
Start the engine to warm up the ATF.
Using KDS, make sure the ATF temperature is between 50 °C and 60°C (122–140°F).
Slowly move the shift lever from the "P" position to the "D" position, then back to the "P" position. Repeat this sequence two times, then move the shift lever to the "P" position.
Remove the under cover.
G 2.0 MPI (Refer to Engine Mechanical System — "Under Hood")
G 2.5 GDI (Refer to Engine Mechanical System — "Under Hood")
Raise the vehicle and remove the ATF level plug (A) from the valve body cover.
[G 2.0 MPI - A6MF1-2]

[G 2.5 GDI-A8MF1]

Check the ATF level.
Normal: ATF flows out in a thin stream.
Excessive (Abnormal): More than 0.9 L of ATF flows out within 2 minutes.
Insufficient (Abnormal): No fluid flow.
Install the ATF level plug (A).
[G 2.0 MPI - A6MF1-2]

[G 2.5 GDI-A8MF1]

Lower the vehicle and install the eyebolt (A).
Tightening torque: 4.9–5.9 N·m
[G 2.0 MPI - A6MF1-2]

[G 2.5 GDI-A8MF1]

Install the park/neutral position switch. [G 2.0 MPI — A6MF1-2 only]
(Refer to "Automatic Transmission Control System - Inhibitor Switch").
Install the air cleaner assembly.
G 2.0 MPI (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air Cleaner")
G 2.5 GDI (Refer to Engine Mechanical System — "Air Cleaner")
Install the lower cover.
G 2.0 MPI (Refer to Engine Mechanical System — "Under Hood")
G 2.5 GDI (Refer to Engine Mechanical System — "Under Hood")
