Repair Procedures

Adjustment

Window Adjustment

  1. Remove the front door trim panel.

(Refer to Front Door - Front Door Trim Panel)

  2. Separate the installation plug hole (A) from the front door module.

  3. After loosening the window glass mounting bolts, adjust the gap between the glass (A) by moving the glass from side to side, then tighten the bolts.

  4. Check that the window operates normally.

Door Latch Adjustment

  1. Loosen the mounting screw, adjust the latch (A) by moving it forward and backward or side to side, then tighten the bolts (B).

    Tightening torque: 17.7 - 33 N·m

  2. Tap the striker with a plastic hammer to adjust it. The striker will not move much, but will allow some adjustment.

  3. While holding the outside handle, press the door against the body to make sure the striker allows a flush fit. If the door latches correctly, tighten the screws and recheck.

Door Position Adjustment

  1. Make sure the door and body edges are parallel.

  2. Before adjusting the doors, park the vehicle on a level surface.

  3. Adjust the hinges (A):

    • Slightly loosen the door mounting bolts and move the door in or out until it is flush with the body.

    • Loosen the hinge bolts slightly and move the door rearward or forward, up or down as necessary.

    • Place a shop towel on the jack to avoid damaging the door when adjusting the door.

    Tightening torque:

    (B): 21,6–26 N·m

    (C): 23,5–31 N·m

  4. Lubricate the moving parts of the specified hinges.

  5. Check for water leaks.
