Repair Procedures

Adjustment

Window Adjustment

  1. Remove the rear door trim.

(Refer to Rear Door - Rear Door Trim Panel)

  2. Separate the mounting plug hole (A) from the rear door module.

  3. After loosening the glass mounting bolts, adjust the gap between the glass (A) by moving the glass from side to side, then tighten the bolt.

  4. Check that the window operates normally.

Door Latch Adjustment

  1. Loosen the mounting screw, adjust the latch (A) by moving it forward and backward or side to side, then tighten the bolts (B).

    Tightening Torque: (B): 18.6–33 N·m

  2. Tap the striker with a plastic hammer to adjust it. The striker will not move much, but will allow some adjustment.

  3. While holding the outside handle, press the door against the body to make sure the striker plate fits flush with the body. If the door latches correctly, tighten the screws and recheck.

Door Position Adjustment

  1. Make sure the door and body edges are parallel.

  2. When adjusting the doors, place the vehicle on a hard, level surface.

  3. Adjust the hinges (A):

    • Slightly loosen the door mounting bolts and move the door inward or outward until it is level with the body.

    • Loosen the hinge bolts slightly and move the door rearward or forward, up or down as necessary to make the gaps even.

    • Place a shop towel on the jack to avoid damaging the door when adjusting the door.

    Tightening torque:

    (B): 21,6–26 N·m

    (C): 23,5–31 N·m

  4. Apply grease to the hinge moving parts indicated by the arrows.

  5. Check for water leaks.
