Tire Replacement
In this manual: Maintenance
~1min read

If the tire is worn evenly, the tread wear indicator (A) will appear as a solid band across the tread. This shows that the tread depth is less than 1.6 mm (1/16 inch). Replace the tire.
Do not wait until the band appears across the entire tread before replacing the tire.
The ABS operates by comparing wheel speeds. Tire size affects wheel speed. When replacing tires, all 4 tires must be of the same size and type as those originally fitted to the vehicle. Using tires of a different size may cause the ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) and ESC (Electronic Stability Control) to operate incorrectly.
✽ NOTICE
- To maintain optimum driving performance, we recommend replacing tires with the same specifications and type as those originally installed on your vehicle. Otherwise, handling characteristics may be altered.
- When replacing tires (or wheels), it is recommended to replace the two front or two rear tires (or wheels) as a pair. Replacing only one tire may seriously affect your vehicle's handling.
