Wheel Replacement
When replacing metal wheels for any reason, make sure the new wheels are equivalent to the original factory wheels in diameter, rim width, and offset.
An incorrectly sized wheel may adversely affect the service life of the wheel and bearing, brake and braking performance, handling, ground clearance, tire-to-body clearance, snow chain clearance, speedometer and odometer calibration, headlight aim and bumper height.
CAUTION - Wheels
Wheels that do not meet Kia specifications may not fit properly and may cause damage to the vehicle or unusual handling and poor vehicle control.
Tire Traction, Tire Maintenance
Tire Traction
Tire traction may be reduced if you drive on worn tires, tires that are incorrectly inflated, or on slippery road surfaces. Tires should be replaced when tread wear indicators appear. Brake gently whenever the road is wet, snowy or icy to reduce the possibility of losing control of the vehicle.
Tire Maintenance
In addition to proper inflation, proper wheel alignment helps reduce tire wear. If you notice that a tire is wearing unevenly, have the alignment checked by a dealer.
When installing new tires, make sure they are balanced. This will improve ride comfort and tire life. In addition, the tire should always be rebalanced if it has been removed from the wheel.
