For the cigarette lighter to operate, the ignition switch must be in the ACC or ON position.

To use the cigarette lighter, press it fully into its socket. When the element is heated, the lighter will pop out to the "ready" position.

If the cigarette lighter needs to be replaced, use only genuine Kia replacement parts or an approved equivalent.

WARNING

  • Do not hold the lighter after it has already heated up, as it will overheat.
  • If the lighter does not pop out within 30 seconds, remove it to prevent overheating.
  • Do not insert foreign objects into the cigarette lighter socket. This may damage the cigarette lighter.

CAUTION

Only a genuine Kia cigarette lighter should be used in the cigarette lighter socket. Using plug-in accessories (razors, handheld vacuum cleaners, coffee pots, etc.) may damage the socket or cause an electrical system malfunction.
