Repair Procedures

Removal

  1. Remove the fuel pump. (Refer to Fuel System - "Fuel Pump")
  2. Disconnect the fuel pump motor connector (A) and the fuel level sensor connector (B).
  3. Disconnect the quick-connect fitting (A) of the fuel feed tube after removing the retaining clip (B).
  4. Remove the damper tube fixing clip (A), then separate the head assembly (B) from the reservoir cup.
  5. Press the retaining hook (A) with a screwdriver and remove the fuel level sensor in the direction of the arrow.
  6. Remove the reservoir cup (B) after releasing the locking hooks (A).
  7. Disconnect the ground terminal (A).
  8. Remove the retaining clip (A) and support the fuel pump assembly (B).
  9. Remove the fuel filter (A) after releasing the retaining hooks.
  10. Separate the fuel pump motor (A).
  11. Replace with a new fuel filter.

Installation

  1. Install in the reverse order of removal.
