Airbag Warning Light

The function of the airbag warning light on the instrument cluster is to indicate the presence of a potential problem with the supplemental restraint system (SRS) airbag.

When the ignition switch is turned to ON, the light comes on for approximately 6 seconds and then goes off.

Have the system checked if:

• The light does not come on briefly when the ignition is switched on.
• Once illuminated, the light remains on for approximately 6 seconds.
• The light comes on while driving.
• The light flashes when the ignition switch is in the ON position.

Front passenger airbag enabled indicator (if equipped)

The front passenger airbag ON indicator lights up for approximately 4 seconds after the ignition switch is turned on.

The front passenger airbag ON indicator also lights up when the front passenger airbag ON/OFF switch is set to ON, and goes off after approximately 60 seconds.

Front passenger airbag disabled indicator (if equipped)

The front passenger airbag disabled indicator lights up for approximately 4 seconds after the ignition switch is turned on.

The front passenger airbag disabled indicator also lights up when the airbag ON/OFF switch is OFF, and goes off when the switch is ON.

If this occurs, have the front passenger airbag ON/OFF switch and the SRS airbag system checked by an authorized Kia dealer as soon as possible.
