Windscreen wipers
Operate as follows with the ignition switch in the ON position.
MIST (
) : To make the wipers perform a single sweep, push the lever up and release it when in the OFF position. Pushing the lever up and holding it there makes the wipers operate continuously.
OFF (O) : Wipers not operating

LO (1) : Normal wiper speed
HI (2) : High wiper speed
NOTE If there is snow or ice buildup on the windshield, defrost it for about 10 minutes, or until no snow and/or ice remains, so the wipers can work properly. If snow and/or ice are not removed before using the wiper/washer, the wiper/washer system may be damaged.
Windshield washer (front)

With the lever in the OFF (O) position, pull it slightly toward you to spray washer fluid onto the windshield and run the wipers for 1-3 cycles.
Use this function when the windshield is dirty.
The spray and the wipers continue to operate until the lever is released.
If the washer does not work, check the fluid level. If the level is low, refill the reservoir with a non-abrasive fluid suitable for windshield washing.
The washer fluid reservoir filler is located at the front of the engine compartment, on the passenger side.
WARNING To avoid damaging the pump, do not operate the washer when the fluid reservoir is empty. CAUTION In very cold weather, do not operate the washer before warming up the windshield; the fluid may freeze on contact with the windshield, reducing visibility.WARNING
- To avoid damaging the wipers and windshield, do not operate the wipers when the windshield is dry.
- To prevent damage to the wiper blades, do not use gasoline, kerosene, paint thinner, or other solvents on them or near them.
- To prevent damage to the wiper arms or other components, do not try to move the wipers by hand.
- • To avoid damage to the wiper/washer system, use anti-freeze washer fluid in cold seasons.
Rear wiper/washer switch (if equipped)

The rear wiper/washer switch is located at the end of the wiper/washer control lever. Turn the switch to the desired position to operate the rear wiper/washer.
