Windshield Defrosting and Defogging

WARNING - Windshield heating Do not use positions or when cooling in conditions of high humidity. The difference between the outside air temperature and the windshield temperature may cause the outer surface of the windshield to fog up, reducing visibility. In this case, turn the airflow distribution knob to position and set the fan to the lowest speed.

• For maximum defrosting, set the temperature and fan speed to maximum (fully to the right).
• If you want warm air toward the floor during defrosting or defogging, direct the airflow to the defrost and floor vents.
• Before driving, remove all snow and ice from the windshield, rear window, outside rearview mirrors and all windows.
• Remove all snow and ice from the hood and cowl grille to improve heating and defroster efficiency and reduce windshield fogging.
