Seat Belt Buckle Switch (BS)
Description and Operation
Description
The SRSCM monitors the buckle status of the driver and front passenger seat belts. The SRSCM provides one buckle status input pin each for the driver and front passenger seats. The seat belt buckle circuit is powered by an internal voltage supplied by the SRSCM module and uses body ground for the signal return. The buckle status affects SRSCM deployment. If the buckle status is unbuckled, the corresponding pretensioner will not be deactivated.
