Windshield Washers (Front)

■ Type A

■ Type B
In the OFF position, pull the lever toward you carefully to spray washer fluid onto the windshield and operate the wipers for 1-3 cycles.
Use this function when the windshield is dirty.
The washer and wiper will continue to operate until you release the lever. If the washer does not operate, check the washer fluid level.
If the fluid level is low, add an appropriate non-abrasive windshield washer fluid to the washer reservoir.
The washer reservoir filler neck is located at the front of the engine compartment on the passenger side.
CAUTION - Washer Pump
To avoid possible damage to the washer pump, do not operate the washer when the washer fluid reservoir is empty.
WARNING: Poor Visibility
Do not use the washer at sub-zero temperatures without first warming up the windshield with the defroster; the washer solution may freeze on the windshield and obstruct your vision.
CAUTION - Wiper Position
When washing the vehicle, set the wiper switch to the OFF position to stop the automatic wipers. The wipers may activate and become damaged if the switch is set to AUTO while washing the vehicle.
CAUTION - Wipers and Windshield
- To prevent possible damage to the wiper blades or windshield, do not operate the wipers when the windshield is dry.
- To avoid damaging the wiper blades, do not use gasoline, kerosene, paint thinner or other solvents on or near them.
- To prevent damage to the wiper arms and other components, do not attempt to move the wipers by hand.
