Driving Your Vehicle
Lane Keep Assist (LKA)
In this manual: Driving Your Vehicle
~3min read

The Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) system detects lane markings and road edges on the road. It uses the front view camera mounted on the windshield and assists the driver with steering to help keep the vehicle within the lane.
When the system detects that the vehicle is drifting out of its lane or off the road, it warns the driver with a visual and audible warning and applies counter-steering torque to help prevent the vehicle from departing the lane or road.
WARNING

- The LKA system helps prevent the driver from unintentionally departing the lane or road by assisting the driver with steering. However, the system is only a convenience feature and the steering wheel is not always controlled. While driving, the driver must pay attention to the steering wheel.
- LKA operation may be cancelled or may not work properly depending on road and surrounding conditions. Always stay alert while driving.
- Do not disassemble the front view camera for window tinting or application of any coatings or accessories. If the camera is disassembled and reassembled, have the system inspected at a professional workshop. - You may not hear the LKA system warning sound due to excessive audio volume.
- While other warning sounds, such as the unbuckled seat belt warning chime, operate and the LKA warning system is disabled, LKA warning sounds may not be heard.
- If the vehicle speed is high, the steering torque provided by the system will not be sufficient to keep the vehicle within the lane. In this case, the vehicle may drift out of its lane. Observe the speed limit when using the LKA system.
- If you attach objects to the steering wheel, the system may not be able to assist with steering.
- If you attach any objects to the steering wheel, the hands-off warning may not work properly.
