Tire Replacement

~1min read

WARNING

Always use tires in good condition: Driving on worn tires is a safety hazard. Reduced braking, steering and traction may lead to an accident.

Replace all four tires at the same time: Replacing only one tire is dangerous. It may cause loss of grip and reduced braking effectiveness. Mazda strongly recommends replacing all four tires at the same time.

When a tire wears unevenly, the first signs of wear will appear at the tread wear indicator located on the side of the tire.

If this happens, replace the tire.

Replace the tire before the tread is worn across its entire width.

(With tire pressure monitoring system)

After adjusting the tire pressure, the tire pressure monitoring system must be activated for it to operate correctly.

See "Activating the Tire Pressure Monitoring System" on page 4-147.
