Double overhead camshaft timing, driven from the crankshaft by a chain whose tension is automatically maintained by a hydraulic tensioner. The timing chain connects the crankshaft to the intake camshaft, which transmits motion to the exhaust camshaft through gears.

CAMSHAFTS

The intake camshaft is driven by the timing chain from the crankshaft. The exhaust camshaft is driven by the intake camshaft through gears.

Camshaft identification number:

  • intake: A64026.
  • exhaust: A64021.
