Press this switch to alert other drivers that you intend to stop or park your vehicle in an emergency. All of your vehicle's turn signal lights will flash.

WARNING

  • If you must stop in an emergency, park the vehicle as far off the road as possible.
  • Do not use the hazard warning flashers while driving on the freeway, unless unusual circumstances force you to drive at a very low speed that could be dangerous to other motorists.
  • The turn signals do not operate when the hazard warning flashers are on.

Your vehicle's hazard warning flashers operate regardless of the ignition switch position.

Some states prohibit the use of hazard warning flashers while the vehicle is in motion.
