Driving tips
- When the air conditioner is on, keep the windows and the clear sunroof closed.
- If the vehicle has been parked in the sun, drive for two or three minutes with all windows open to release hot air from the cabin. Then close the windows.
The air conditioner will then cool the cabin more quickly.
- Run the air conditioner for about 10 consecutive minutes at least once a month. This keeps the system lubricated and helps prevent air conditioner failure.
- A visible mist may come out of the vents in hot, humid weather because the air is cooled very quickly. This mist does not indicate a malfunction.
- If the engine coolant temperature gauge is above the normal range, turn off the air conditioner. See the "If the Engine Overheats" section in the "In Case of Emergency" chapter.
