Tyre pressure monitoring system
Where fitted, this system monitors tyre inflation pressure.
Operating principle
Each wheel (except the spare wheel) has a sensor in the valve that periodically measures tyre pressure. The system informs the driver via the on-board computer 1 that the wheels are sufficiently inflated, and warns of insufficient pressure or a leak. The
on display 1 lights
steadily to warn the driver of insufficient pressure.
This function is an additional driving aid.
However, the function does not take the place of the driver.
It can therefore in no case replace the driver's attention or responsibility.
Check the tyre pressures, including the spare wheel, once a month.

Resetting the tyre pressure reference value
Reset the reference value:
- when the reference tyre pressures need to be changed to suit operating conditions (unloaded, loaded, motorway driving, etc.);
- after rotating the wheels;
- after a wheel change.
Always check the cold tyre pressures of all four tyres before resetting.
The inflation pressures must match the vehicle's usual use (unladen, laden, motorway driving, etc.).
Ignition on:
- briefly press button 2 or 3 to display the tyre pressures on display 1.
- press and hold button 2 or 3 (about 3 seconds) to start the initialisation. Tyres flashing followed by the message " Pressure learning started " confirms that the request to learn the reference pressure values has been accepted;
- the reset may take several minutes of driving.

Display
Display 1 and the warning light
on the instrument panel inform you of any inflation faults (wheel underinflated, wheel punctured, system out of service, etc.).

" Tyre pressure to be adjusted "
Wheel A becomes solid and appears in orange on display 1
,
together with the warning light , indicates an underinflated wheel. Check and adjust if necessary the pressures of all four tyres when cold.
The warning light
goes out after
a few minutes of driving.
The warning light
requires you, for your safety, to stop immediately and as soon as traffic conditions allow.
" Puncture "
The affected wheel A becomes solid and appears in red on display 1, together with the warning light
, indicates
that the wheel concerned is punctured or severely underinflated.
Replace it or contact a Brand Representative if it is punctured. Re-inflate the tyres if the wheel is underinflated.
This message is accompanied by the warning light
.
A sudden loss of tyre pressure (tyre burst, etc.) may not be detected by the system.

" Tyre sensors missing " or " check tyre sensors "
Wheel B disappears, together with the warning light
, indicates a sensor fault
or a missing sensor on this wheel (for example when the spare wheel is fitted to the vehicle...).
Replacing wheels/tyres
This system requires specific equipment (wheels, tyres, wheel trims, etc.).
Consult a Brand Representative for tyre replacement and to find out which accessories are compatible with the system and available from Brand Shops: using any other accessory could affect the correct operation of the system.
Wheel change
As the system may take several minutes of driving to register wheel positions and pressures correctly, check the tyre pressures after any work.

Wheel interchangeability
If you wish to swap your wheels, go to a Brand Representative to reset the system.
Each of the sensors fitted in the valves 4 is dedicated to one single wheel: never swap wheels without resetting the system.
Risk of incorrect information that could lead to serious consequences.

To easily identify the correct wheel position, refer to the colour of the ring 5 (after cleaning if necessary) surrounding each valve:
C yellow ring
D black ring
E red ring
F green ring

Tyre repair sealant aerosols and inflation kit
Due to the specific design of the valves, only use equipment approved by the Renault network.

Readjusting tyre pressure
Pressures must be adjusted when the tyres are cold (refer to the label on the driver's door edge).
If the pressure cannot be checked on cold tyres, increase the recommended pressures by 0.2 to 0.3 bar (3 PSI).
Never deflate a hot tyre.
Spare wheel
If the vehicle is so equipped, the spare wheel has no sensor. When it is fitted to the vehicle, the message "Tyre sensors missing" appears on the instrument panel.
