Interpreting states
| ET007 | + AFTER IGNITION ECU |
INSTRUCTIONS
Nothing to report.
| This status indicates the +12 V after-ignition supply provided by the Protection and Communication Unit. When the ignition is off, the status displays: ABSENT. When the ignition is on, the status displays: PRESENT. |
| If the problem persists, diagnose the Protection and Communication Unit: check that status ET003 "APC relay control" operates correctly and make sure fault DF001 "APC relay control circuit" is not present. Carry out the necessary repairs (see the relevant diagnostic procedures). |
| If the problem persists: disconnect the 12-pin connector A from the air conditioning ECU to check the insulation, continuity and absence of parasitic resistance of the wiring: ECU connector A pin 10 → + permanent supply (7.5 A fuse of the Protection and Communication Unit) Repair if necessary. |
| If the wiring is correct and the air conditioning ECU is properly supplied but the problem persists: carry out a diagnosis of the charging circuit. |
AFTER REPAIR
Restart the conformity check from the beginning.
| ET062 | RECIRCULATION FLAP POSITION |
INSTRUCTIONS
Special features: Manual climate control has no automatic recirculation. However, at extreme temperatures (above 35 °C) and when the air conditioning is switched on, the recirculation flap moves to recirculation to help the cabin warm up faster.
| This status indicates the position of the recirculation flap. If the flap is in the outside air position, the status displays: OPEN. If the flap is in the recirculation position, the status displays: CLOSED. |
| If the status does not behave as indicated: apply the diagnostic procedure for fault DF021 "Recirculation motor circuit". |
AFTER REPAIR
Restart the conformity check from the beginning.
| ET085 | REAR WINDOW DEFROST: AUTO MODE |
INSTRUCTIONS
Nothing to report.
| This status indicates that the rear window defroster is switched on in automatic mode. This mode corresponds to the "SEE CLEARLY" function. This function switches on the rear window defroster, defrosts the mirrors, switches on the air conditioning and switches the windscreen ventilation to high speed. As long as the "SEE CLEARLY" function is requested, the rear window defroster operates (continuous control). This automatic mode is selected by pressing the defrost key at the top of the manual climate control panel. If the "SEE CLEARLY" function is requested, the status must display: "ACTIVE". If the "SEE CLEARLY" function is not requested, the status must display: "INACTIVE". |
| If the status does not behave as indicated: refer to ALP 10 in section 62A "Air conditioning". |
AFTER REPAIR
Restart the conformity check from the beginning
| ET086 | REAR WINDOW DEFROST: MANUAL MODE |
INSTRUCTIONS
Nothing to report.
| This status indicates that the rear window defroster is switched on in manual mode. This mode corresponds to a timed control of the rear window defroster managed by the Cabin Central Unit. This timer depends on the outside temperature (approximately 15 minutes). Manual control is selected by pressing the defrost key at the bottom of the manual climate control panel. This function switches on the rear window defroster and defrosts the mirrors. If the rear window defroster is requested in manual mode, the status must display: "ACTIVE". If the rear window defroster is not requested, the status must display: "INACTIVE" |
| If the status does not behave as indicated: refer to ALP 10 in section 62A "Air conditioning". |
AFTER REPAIR
Restart the conformity check from the beginning.
| ET141 | CABIN BLOWER |
INSTRUCTIONS
Special feature: This status is used by the Cabin Central Unit to allow the cabin heating resistors (RCH) to be switched on: operating safety.
| This status indicates the operation of the cabin blower. When the cabin fan is running (speed 1 to 8), the status shows: RUNNING. When the cabin fan is not running (speed 0), the status shows: STOPPED. |
| If the status does not display as indicated, check that the cabin fan operates correctly. If the cabin fan does not operate, carry out the diagnostic procedure of the fault tree ALP 5 "No cabin ventilation". |
| If the cabin fan operates correctly but the status shows "STOPPED", check that the visual feedback (fan blade graphic) of the cabin fan on the control panel works correctly (fan bar graph increments across the eight speeds). If the visual feedback (fan blade graphic) of the cabin fan on the control panel does not work: contact your Techline. |
| If the problem persists: carry out a diagnosis of the multiplexed network. |
AFTER REPAIR
Restart the conformity check from the beginning.
| ET143 | AIR CONDITIONING REQUEST 1 |
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: For more information, refer to the compressor engagement request block diagram in chapter 62A "Air conditioning".
| This status indicates the air conditioning engagement request from the regulated air conditioning control unit to the Cabin Central Unit. When air conditioning engagement is requested, the status must show: "ACTIVE". When air conditioning engagement is not requested, the status must show: "INACTIVE". |
| If the status does not display as indicated: contact your Techline. |
AFTER REPAIR
Restart the conformity check from the beginning.
