Check the fluid level using the dipstick when the fluid is cool (approximately room temperature), as described below:

  1. Clean the reservoir cap and the area around the reservoir cap.
  2. Remove the cap by turning it counterclockwise and wipe the dipstick dry.
  3. Reinstall the cap.
  4. Remove the cap again and check the fluid level. It should be between the "MAX" and "MIN" marks. If the level is below the "MIN" mark, add automatic transmission fluid

SUZUKI or DEXRON II. Do not overfill.
