Steering system

To check steering wheel play, gently turn the steering wheel left and right and measure the distance it travels before light resistance is felt. Play should be 0 – 30 mm.

To check that the wheel turns smoothly and evenly without binding, turn it fully to the right and left while driving slowly in an open area.

If the play is outside the above range, or any other fault is found, have the system inspected at a SUZUKI dealer.
