WHEEL REPLACEMENT

- Apply the parking brake. If parked on a slope, additionally place wheel chocks, a stone, or any suitable object under the appropriate wheels.
- Remove the protective cap.
- On vehicles with light-alloy wheels and decorative hub caps, the caps can be easily removed with a screwdriver.
- Unlock and remove the wheel bolt lock.
- Using the wheel wrench, loosen the wheel bolts by one turn. Insert the jack under the cross member, angled outward. Its base must rest firmly on the ground.

Insert the jack lifting pad into the specially marked locations under the underbody. To prevent the jack from slipping during lifting, engage the pad with the vertical projection provided there.
- On soft ground, it is advisable to place the jack on a solid base.
- Raise the vehicle until the wheel is off the ground. Remove one of the upper outer bolts. Install a mounting pin in its place. See illustration. It is required to facilitate the subsequent wheel replacement.
- Remove the remaining bolts and take off the wheel. Do not remove the mounting pin.
- Install the spare wheel and start the bolts by hand. After this, remove the mounting pin, insert the remaining bolt, and also start it lightly by hand.
- Lower the vehicle to the ground and tighten the bolts in a crisscross sequence. Close the lock and install the cap. If the cap is a full-size cover (covers the entire wheel), make sure the valve stem passes through the opening provided for it.
- When replacing a wheel with a light-alloy disc and a hub cap, first remove the cap, and reinstall it on the hub after the wheel is replaced.
After replacing the wheels, check the tire pressure and the tightness of the wheel bolts. Check the tightening torque with a torque wrench. The tightening torque must be 110 units.
