REPLACING INCANDESCENT BULBS
Before replacing bulbs, disconnect the corresponding electrical consumer from the power supply.
Do not touch the bulb glass with bare hands. At high temperature, fingerprints darken and leave a stain, which later is projected onto the mirror surface and darkens the reflector accordingly.
Only bulbs of equivalent type may be installed. The bulb wattage and other specifications are marked on the base.
Always carry spare bulbs. They can be purchased at service stations.
At least the following bulbs should be kept as spares:
12 V 60/55 W - H-4 headlights; 12 V 55 W - H-1 headlights; 12 V 21 W - turn signal; 12 V 25/5 W - brake light and tail light; 12 V 4 W - front clearance lights; 12 V 4 W - license plate lights

To replace the main headlight bulbs located at the front of the engine compartment, remove the following covers:
- Left headlight cover: secured with Phillips-head screws. - Right headlight cover: first unclip the rubber clamp (see illustration) and remove the air filter intake hose.
Open the cover by pressing the clips in the direction of the arrows and pull it upward.

Bulb A — main headlights
- Open the hood.
- Release the metal clamp.
- Remove the protective cover.
- Disconnect the cable plug connector.
- Release and remove the spring clips of the bulb holders.
- Pull out the old bulb and insert the new one so that the locating tab of the base engages the corresponding recess in the reflector contact area. In this position, the middle of the three bulb plug tabs must be at the top.
- Secure the spring clip to the socket. Connect the cable plug connector.
- Install the protective cover, making sure the projection on the headlight engages the slot in its upper part.
- Fasten the metal clamp.
Bulb B — parking lights. The parking light bulbs are located in the reflectors of the main headlights.
- Open the hood.
- Release the metal clamp (see arrow in illustration).
- Remove the protective cover.
- Remove the bulb holder.
- Press the bulb, turn it to the left and remove it from the socket.
- Insert a new bulb.
- Install the bulb holder back into the reflector.

- Fasten the metal clamp.

Bulb C — low beam
- Open the hood.
- Release the metal clamp (see arrow in illustration).
- Remove the protective cover.
- Release and remove the spring bulb holder.
- Remove the old bulb and insert the new one so that the beveled edge of the contact area faces up and both contacts (thickened sections) engage the corresponding recesses.
- Secure the spring clip to the socket. Stretch the metal spring and insert it into the bulb holder opening.
- Close the protective cover so that the projection on the headlight engages the slot in its upper part.
- Fasten the metal clamp (see arrow in illustration).
- Adjust the headlight aiming angle.
