EMERGENCY (SPACE-SAVER) SPARE WHEEL

~1min read
В комплект каждого автомобиля входит запасное колесо с обычной шиной или т.н.

Every vehicle is equipped with a spare wheel with a standard tire or a so-called "emergency" wheel (supplied only to some export countries). It is smaller in volume and takes up less space in the luggage compartment than a standard wheel. They are stored in the luggage compartment on the left side. They are secured with plastic screws.

When using the "emergency" wheel, observe the following recommendations:

- The "emergency" wheel is intended only for temporary use when the main wheel is damaged. It must be replaced with a standard wheel at the first opportunity. Tire pressure must be 4.2 bar.

- Do not drive it at speeds above 80 km/h. Sudden acceleration, braking, and fast cornering are not permitted! - The "emergency" wheel is smaller than a standard wheel. On front-wheel-drive models without ABS, ground clearance is reduced by 30 mm because of this. For this reason, avoid driving on uneven roads with obstacles and deep potholes during this time. Automatic car washes with conveyor tracks are also not recommended, as the vehicle may slip off the track.

- The "emergency" wheel is not suitable for other models, and similar wheels from other vehicles are not suitable for this model.

- Use of snow chains with the "emergency" wheel is not permitted.

If chains cannot be avoided and the failure involves a front wheel, move the rear wheel to the front position and replace the rear wheel with the "emergency" wheel. Snow chains are fitted only to the front wheels. After changing the wheels, be sure to adjust the tire pressure.
