Directional tires

~1min read

Directional tyres must be fitted in the prescribed direction of rotation.

A directional tread pattern can be recognised by the arrows on the tyre sidewall showing the direction of rotation. The indicated direction of rotation must be observed without exception. This is essential so that you can take full advantage of the tyre's characteristics in terms of grip, rolling noise, wear and aquaplaning resistance.

If, after a puncture, you must fit the spare wheel against its direction of rotation, drive with caution, as the tyre's characteristics are no longer optimal under these conditions.

This applies in particular when the road is wet.

So that you can again take full advantage of the directional tyre design, replace the defective tyre as soon as possible so that all tyres rotate in the correct direction.
